A New Fate Empty
PostSubject: A New Fate   A New Fate EmptyWed Feb 19, 2014 2:05 am

Bright light shone down upon Central City's bustling streets as one particularly skilled individual made his way towards his local bank. You can probably already guess where this is going. This accountant was just about to cash in one of the greatest investments of his career, one that would make him famous throughout the city as one of the world's wealthiest men. It was his dream, his brain child, the culmination of all of his lifetime experience. Everything in his life had led up to this one single point. Fate had smiled greatly upon him save for this one particular moment. He entered the bank, only to discover it was in the process of being robbed. Three men in black outfits and ski masks stood over the floor-sprawled hostages with daunting automatic weapons. Well it wasn't that big of a deal, right? His finances were secured, his investment, tied to that bank as it may have been, wasn't at risk by something so insignificant as this. He stepped in, and at the lead robber's loud command, positioned himself with hands behind his head on the cold stone floor, just inside the door. Nobody even gave him a second look. With their bags of money the men all headed towards the door for their escape, but it was already too late. The police had arrived just seconds after the accountant's entrance and already locked the entire area down. They weren't going anywhere.

They all cursed almost in unison and ran back towards the center of the main room to discuss an exit plan. By the sound of things, it wasn't going very well. Glancing curiously at his captives, our harmless genius of an accountant hatched a small plan. He didn't want to risk getting shot, of course, but when they started pointing guns off-handedly at the people all over the floor and yelling words like 'hostage' and 'kill', he figured his chances were better off taking action. Slowly he began crawling towards the center of the room, his eyes and peripherals trained on the group in order to stop whenever one of their gazes fell in his direction. One wrong move and it was curtains for him. The security guard, also on the floor, noticed his attempt and frantically motioned for him to stop. They saw the old man and immediately questioned him. "What are you doing!" One of them yelled at him before looking over in the accountant's direction. "Think I found our first victim guys." He said, walking in the accountant's direction. He stepped right above him and leaned over to reach for him when out of nowhere came this golden blast, sending the criminal through the glass door and onto the street outside where the police promptly arrested him. "Come out with your hands up or we'll take you all out!" Shouted the sergeant, with more than enough snipers in position to back his claim.

Each of them found their mark on one of the remaining three guys standing in the bank. With just one word, each would receive a shot to the head. There was another, the one meant to take down the man who had been mysteriously placed within the law's reach that scouted the interior for more signs of danger. That's when he saw it. It looked like a man, but he couldn't be sure. There was this light, like a golden aura surrounding his body so as to prevent any details from showing. The silhouette was definitely that of a man, but the sniper couldn't tell if it was friend or foe yet. He placed the mark on the guy's head though, just to be safe. As if taking notice, the figure's head shot right in his direction, almost as though staring him in the eye. It wasn't possible. He was far off in a skyscraper overseeing the entire town square. There were no laser pointers, no lights, nothing to give away his position. Not two seconds later and that same light starting steaming from the gun's barrel. The sniper through the gun to the side and just watched it melt into liquid metal.

Meanwhile, the golden man assumed the same position his earlier target had been in, standing above the would-be hero of an accountant. There wasn't anything beyond an exchange of glances between the two before the others started shouting at him. What words were said were of no consequence; the gun fire that followed was. He held out a hand, and before it appeared out of nothing a six-foot tall golden ankh. The bullets shot into it and were no more. He waved his hand to the side and swept it down and across, causing golden bullets to appear out pf thin air to the robbers' left and volley their legs. Cries of pain and dozens of gun shot wounds brought them to the ground even as another hand motion reduced all of their guns to liquid. It was over for them. Good had triumphed over evil once again, or at least, so it seemed.

The cries of joy emitting from outside were far too early as the figure turned to face the real reason he was here. A bolt of red energy met with his head before he could even get a good look at his lifelong adversary, though the magical helmet deflected the blast into a wall. That wall was introduced to a power that even its multiple layers of concrete and steel could not stand, exploding with tremendous force to create a gaping hole in it with charred remains scattering both inside and outside the building. That was the moment everyone took to evacuate, some using the doors and others that hole in the wall, none with the will to stand and help their savior, or the criminals for that matter. "It's been far too long." The accountant said with a twisted smile and a maniacal tone. "Not long enough." Replied the godlike voice of the gold-covered figure. He extended both hands and at their tip formed the curling top part of a large ankh and the base tip pointed towards the man who now adorned a reddish black aura and slit pupils. Light cascaded throughout the complex at one of the most powerful magical beams in existence took a few moments to charge, but its target had little intention of remaining in its path for long.

"Catch me if you can, Nabu!" The agent of chaos said with a smirk as he turned to fly out into the city. Fate's magical beam vanished instantly as the Doctor walked slowly towards the doors and looked outside. The enemy was getting away, yet he didn't look all that concerned to stop him. People outside clearly recognized his costume and powers as that of the legendary Doctor Fate and began conversing with each other over the situation. Such things as "Do you know who that is?" "What's Doctor Fate doing in Central City?" "Where's the Flash?" "Hey I wonder if I can get his autograph." He paid them no mind. With a momentary flash of light, the famed agent of order was gone, leaving only the holographic imprint of an ankh in the space which he only moments ago had occupied.

The ominous black hero had just received word of a bank robbery happening amongst the Central City, and did not plan on just sitting aside and letting the police take care of it. Raven had sensed the presence of some kind of dark magic in the midst and knew it would be best if she had come to help out. In a dark alley, a dark portal opened from the ground, appearing from it the woman in a purple cloak, her hood hanging over her face to hide her eyes. Peeping from the corner, she spotted Dr.Fate and then a figure flying towards her direction to escape from him. She wasn't going to just let this happen though, so she quickly entered into combat.

Raven spawned herself with another portal to stop the agent of chaos in his very tracks, the man braking in mid-air to see the woman in front of her. Both of Raven's hands went into the air as they sent her energy into two nearby light poles, ripping them from the ground and lunging them at the agent although they would be doing any damage just yet. They began to bend as they surrounded him, coiling around the agent's body and leaving him trapped. Raven's grip onto him was strong, and so was her voice," Why have you come here?" She was content on having her question answered and the longer he took to answer, the tighter her grip would become.

With a bright red flash, the agent of chaos departed from his host body and escaped the poles that bound him. Regardless, he chose to answer the question. "Why, for fun of course, little girl." He smiled and began rocketing away when he crashed right into a translucent golden barrier that quickly surrounded him in a bubble as Doctor Fate approached from behind. Using only a glance to acknowledge the Teen Titan, Fate focused his attention upon the crimson spirit of his adversary. "Begone!" He shouted, and the spherical barrier closed in and caved in on itself, vanishing like a black hole into the nothing. "Just a minion of Klarion, though a token of his return." Fate explained to Raven as he levitated near her position. "What brings one such as yourself to Central City?"

Raven placed the old man back down as the demon that possessed his body had left, unraveling the poles and leaving the man to run away, crying as he had done so. She didn't really care too much about his crying as of now, focusing on the task at hand, her body shifting back to see what had happened to the agent of chaos. His reply somewhat ticked her off as she went to take chase although the agent of chaos was instantly placed inside of a golden sphere shaped barrier, the barrier beginning to cave in until it was no longer something to see, simply gone.

Raven's chakra reflected off the sun's light as she took a gander at Dr.Fate, somewhat tucking her head back into her hood as the light was a bit too bright for her likings, but she answered his question non-the-less," I sensed the presence of an evil magic, although it was faint, I decided to come by and spy on it. as you were bombarded by your fans, I went to stop the run away." She never really had to deal with such a problem as no one really looked up to her or wanted to be her, which honestly she wouldn't have cared too much anyway.

PostSubject: Re: A New Fate   A New Fate EmptyTue Mar 04, 2014 6:25 am

"You have my gratitude." Said the Agent of Order, entirely oblivious by choice of the prodding comment of his so called 'fans'. The job was completed and that alone is what mattered in the end to Nelson, or rather, Nabu. He watched the old man walk slowly down the sidewalk, his nigh omniscient eyes watching diligently for any signs of Chaos energy remnants. Klarion was known for such tricks, as well as any agent or lord of chaos, but that boy in particular. None seemed to play any such role today, thankfully, and so Doctor Fate was allowed to return to his usual duties which were apparently exchanging pleasantries with this young woman. Seeing, though, that there no longer any outstanding threats within this area, the heavily influenced mind of Kent V. Nelson saw very little reason to remain. His duty was that of protecting the Earth from all forms of chaos, and such a prevalent and vastly essential task left hardly any room for lapses of time, even those so faint as a few stray minutes speaking to a powerful magic-wielding, half-demon super heroine. The masked hero looked about for anything that might keep him busy here, and, upon seeing nothing in particular, he looked towards Raven once more to say his goodbyes. It was cut short, however, by the sudden appearance of lightning in an otherwise sunny day.

The strike landed not far off, the flash of light blanketing the area in bright blue for the few moments following its near instantaneous descent. Fate's attention shot towards and it, and with as much haste as he could muster, he was off. Nelson flew towards the impact site to discover the charred remnants of a police car, with one officer caught in the explosion, badly wounded with what looked to be fourth degree burns across the legs, not to mention the molten skin covering most of the rest of his body. Needless to say, his excessively loud screams were not without just cause. The officer's partner rushed to aid him, but there was nothing he could do beyond a few comforting words. Fate extended a hand towards the fallen warrior from his position in the sky. On the ground beneath the wounded man appeared the bright golden image of a large ankh, whose great light emanated all about. Without even getting a chance to react, the unhurt policeman could only watch as his friend literally fell into the image and was gone. He appeared on a nearby rooftop, where the Agent of Order erected a spherical field of energy over the man. Nelson hoped that Raven could handle the culprit of this crime whilst he attempted to heal the wounded with the mystic arts. While he uttered various incantations in foreign, dead, and altogether alien languages, the Weather Wizard continued to wreak havoc all about. Unlike with the fairly weak agent of chaos from before, Doctor Fate held no quick solution to handle this foe, and absolute control over nature itself would prove quite the challenge for our heroes.

The ominous young woman remained floating in the air, something inside of her feeling as if though something was about to happen; something big. She wasn't too much focused on the current conversation with the doctor, but her ears would stay tuned for any more words that he had decided to speak. Raven remained honing in on the energy that she was picking up, not very sure what it was at all. That was until out of no where, lightning struck onto the ground with it's tremendous force and speed. Lightning is usually something that is underestimated for it's destructive capabilities, but this would soon change the mind of the civilians who had been around the area. Raven was planning on seeing who had been hurt, realizing that it had been a police officer, sitting along side a police car that had been burned to a crisp by the almighty force of the lightning. She now needed to go into action.

Trigon's daughter consumed herself with her own energy, surrounding herself as she entered her soul-self temporarily so that she would take the form of a raven. The wings of the raven shot off quickly as she traverse over towards the area of the lightning strike. She first thought about aiding in the recovery of the policeman, but decided it was best to let someone who specialized in healing do it, also knowing that her healing properties were not meant for taking care of major injuries. The form of the raven was released once she spotted the elemental that had approached the area. His abilities were beyond that of the first person that they had taken out, figuring now that she would attack first while he had not been focused on her. Both of her hands rose into the air as darkness began to envelope them both, she beginning to speak an incantation, "Azarath, Metrion, ZINTHOS!"  First, she moved the civilians out of the way so that she could fight the man without having to worry about hurting anyone in the process of doing so. The elemental shooting lightning of at random directions simply for the thrill of destroying, but Raven would do her best to make sure this ended. She began to pull up trees by their very roots, several cars that had been abandoned, and lastly a bus that was left empty. These objects were then sent flying towards the agent of chaos who had decided on reeking havoc in her city, each coated in a black colored magic.

Trees were uprooted, people scattered, buses sent soaring through the sky, all in an attempt to save the city from the threat of the Weather Wizard. Mark Mardon couldn't help but feel his pride welling up inside that the famous mystical heroes Raven of the Teen Titans and Doctor Fate of the Justice Society were both here to try and foil his plans. It's not just any villain that gets such a powerful response, after all. Despite their fame and their vast abilities, they would prove no match for the Weather Wizard. With a swipe of his wand, Mardon summoned the element of wind to bare down upon the city from above in the form of a vicious tornado. The maelstrom swept through the streets, picking up random debris and flinging it in every imaginable direction as it was placed directly in the path of the various large items sent to do him in. Even magic had little strength in the face of mother nature's full fury, but just in case, Mark had other plans. He'd come here to gather attention, and so he had, yet there was more to be done. Before that, though, he'd dispatch both of these pesky heroes. It wasn't part of the plan, but it would give him the infamy he truly desired. Another swipe of his manipulative magical wand caused a thunderous eruption to herald the entrance of his most powreful weapon. A massive bolt of lightning, not unlike the one that had lured Fate to this scene in the first place, broke through the forming storm clouds and shattered every bit of Raven's trademark black magic covering the things that tornado had sucked up. That wasn't it, though, for the bolt continued forward and doubled back, spinning around and around in the tornado until the nearly transparent wind funnel had become a black shocking spiral of death. Loosing the catastrophe upon the city, the Weather Wizard counted on it splitting up the two facing him, which meant for a much easier victory by the simple means of divide and conquer.

Doctor Fate had only just finished healing the injured man when that thunder echoed throughout the neighborhood, calling his attention back to the battle. The tornado was enormous, and the speed it was travelling meant it had to be dealt with now, or half the city could be destroyed, thousands of lives along with it. "I'll take care of it." The Agent of Order said as he levitated to a standing position and promptly vanished with his trademark golden ankh. He appeared in the path of the land-bound hurricane with little in mind to do save to blast it away. He held out one hand, and as he spoke illegible phrases, sparks of bright golden electricity began to cover his gloves, and shortly after it built up into his palm until it finally culminated in a massive cylindrical beam of golden light that pierced right through the center of the tornado. Slowly the beam faded away, leaving a hole in the blackened stormy wind, but it was swiftly regenerated. The attack had no effect at all! Fate flew backwards to evade the lashing winds and lightning, only to watch as the building below was swallowed up by it. Focus instantly shifted from the tornado itself onto the debris caught inside it once he heard the screams of those still trapped within the broken remains of their home. Two fists formed, and on their backs appeared two magic circles, the insides of which were inscribed with numerous runes and letters of ancient languages. Golden light began appearing like a blinking spot light from the openings in the flying rubble, and just like that the people were transported from their terrifying doom to a safer location on the ground, away from the tornado. There was only one more thing he could think to do at this point: limit its movements. Doctor Fate assumed a cross-legged position and began moving his hands about as he spoke many different incantations. Slowly a barrier started to form at the base of the Weather Wizard's creation and from all sides began slowly rising to confine it. This would take time, though, and so Nelson could only hope that Raven could handle Mardon on her own for some time.

Meanwhile, back in the city park, bolts of lightning were firing off in every direction as weather's greatest manipulator attempted to electrify the pesky flying girl. He continued his mad swipes with his wand, beckoning hail the size of bowling balls to pour down upon the city, though concentrated specifically around Raven in hopes of at least knocking her out, if not just killing her straight out. Magic users are tough opponents to face, Mark knew this, and so he would take as little chances as he possibly could. A strategy was beginning to form in his mind, though it wasn't a very good one. Given the circumstances, though, it couldn't be. He directed a single bolt for a stray child wandering around far away, near the edge of the park where the other buildings' foundations were. It would hit the kid before Raven could reach him, prompting her to use some sort of sorcery to be rid of it. Using that small break, the Weather Wizard would move the wand clockwise over his head as if trying to throw lasso, while high above the clouds a mass of ice was forming. This gargantuan sized hail ball would crash into the bank like a meteor. All of those police officers and onlookers would surely die. Could she save them both? That didn't really matter to Mardon. Whatever happened would give him the chance to bring out the true terror of nature. A storm so big, so dark, so powerful, that not even Supereman could stand to face it head on.

OOC: Sorry for not posting for so long

Raven spotted that she had slightly underestimated the man they had been fighting, her black magic being cancelled out once she went onto the offense. A black sphere of magic formed around herself as she attempted to protect herself from the lightning, but this proved to be extremely defective once it had been shattered to pieces within the first few minutes of taking on his electricity. She shrieked in pain, doing her best to withstand the blast of his magic, but it proved too strong for her to handle with her current level a power. And that's when it hit her. Suddenly, she began to balance out all of her emotions, ranging from Pride and Anger to Happiness and Bravery, and manifesting them all into her form. Several different colors swarmed around her in the shape of an orb, all up until a single color remained shining, the color white. This sphere escalated from simply around her self and pushed outwards, hoping to dispel all of the lightning that had been trained upon her. Appearing from the light finally, would be Raven, but in a whole new attire. Her hood had been let down, showing that she had much longer hair due to the intense magic, with all of her robes in the color white. A white energy began to emanate around her right palm, sending a beam of this energy to surround the child and pull him out of the way. Her right hand shot towards the sky as suddenly, a gigantic sized ball of hail falling towards the bank, but she planned on reacting before this had happened at all.

Her power shot into the sky into waves, rupturing the clouds from there darkness and ominous. Suddenly, the meteor like hail would suddenly begin falling in slow motion, but this all due to Raven's power. She had been doing this with one arm, suddenly adding in her other one once it appeared as if the hail was definitely something strong for her to handle. She had drawn upon this power due to so many different emotions running rampant amongst the area, and within herself, feeling at first that she had been too weak to handle the power of this wizard, but now, now she had the confidence to do something about it. Her hands would now slam towards the ground, but not actually touching it as she directed the hail that fell from the sky towards the the man, smashing itself on top of him completely. Had this have worked in succession, a large circle of runes would appear under the pile. This caused a sudden pressure to come down into the hail and crush him completely. Due to his massive power, she knew this wouldn't kill him, but it would definitely prove to hurt him; thus using his own power against him.

"You humans...how truly frail you are."The voice was without force yet emanated throughout the area as a soft whisper upon the wind, though its condescending nature could be detected by even the most ignorant of animals. A blurring ball of flame shot down from the sky behind the immense meteor-sized ball of hail that bared down upon a very frightened Weather Wizard. He was powerless to stop it, and he knew it. Nothing in his mass arsenal of nature manipulation could move him away nor tear through something so large. He hadn't expected the girl to be this powerful, to turn one of his greatest weapons back on him. She had block his lightning, countered his storm, and was even now about to crush him beneath several tons of ice. There was a silver lining to be seen, well, more of a crimson one, as the flaming figure crashed right into the back of that ice meteor and shattered it into billions of tiny pieces. Not a moment was wasted, and no opportunity given to see who or what he really was as he moved through the air with super speed towards the failed villain cowering on the ground. Darkness shrouded his form, though the very least of his trench coat could be made out in the dimly lit park. The figure grasped hold of Mardon's collar and hoisted him into the air with one powerful hand, forcing the weak man into one of the many large trees scattered all about the park. "We do not tolerate failure, human." A barely traceable motion brought a weapon to the Weather Wizard's face, and a flick of the trigger had the man getting sucked into another dimension, where his punishment for this embarrassment was to be carried out.

Leaning down, the humanoid figure build up pressure that could actually be seen resounding around him as small rocks, sticks, and leaves started to float into the air, followed by a loud boom and the cracking of the ground as he launched himself into the sky, defying the crushing runes with little trouble. He found himself defying gravity on the same altitude as the white Raven, his eyes focused upon her and his identity revealed. "Now, human...you face Zod!"

Raven's white cloak fluttered amongst the wind, her eyes focused carefully on the sudden impact of something towards the ice meteor. Surprisingly, a figure had broken through it with ease, a very dark and mysterious one. Raven could sense it. This person was definitely nothing to mess with, becoming slightly irritated at how easily he broke through her magic. "You're a fool if you think I'm human." Her hands would now gently clasp against one another, charging within them a high rate of magical energy until she decided to separate them, flying back into the sky so that she could gain a bit of space. It was then that her hands emanated a powerful energy amongst them, but each about to cast a very different spell. Her right hand shot forth, releasing an extremely powerful condensed magic towards the man announcing himself as Zod. Raven kept on generating energy within her left hand, chanting a spell within a foreign language until suddenly, several white chains shot from her hand, each displaying the same energy as the beam she shot. The chains planned on wrapping around both the man's arms and legs: hoping to render him temporarily paralyzed so that her next magical attacks would work. She knew herself that her magic alone wouldn't be able to defeat the man completely, so she would now send a mental message to Doctor Fate had he been done saving endangered civilians, " I'm going to need your help, come as soon as possible."

A human that thought herself not a human? This seemed odd to Zod. Perhaps she wasn't entirely all that he had seen her to be. She looked human, had the stench of the earthling race, though her words did not sound the least bit false. If anything, she at least believed it. It mattered little to Zod. She would not stand in his way. Nothing would. Nothing could.

Magic energy was released from the girl's hand, but it was of very little importance to the Kryptonian general. With but a blink, he intercepted her puny attack with pure heat, a mighty blast from the eyes that clashed her own magic, and was visibly pushing it back. Such was the might of Zod. Another attack was released as well with her other hand. Again, it mattered little to Zod. He was the greatest warrior in all the universe. Nothing she had could possibly do him harm. Little did Zod know, however, that this magic was meant to bind him. Chains of magic wrapped all around him, but he did not fully take notice until he had completely abolished the force opposing his heat vision.

"You try to bind Zod?!" With a shout General Zod shattered the bonds, extending his arms and legs to the side with the full force of his monumental might. "You will pay for that, child." Speed beyond sight took the warrior down to the ground, where he secured a massive chunk left from the ice meteor he had shattered earlier. It was big, at least five times his size, but little compared to the full thing. Nevertheless, when he threw it at her, the force of impact would be beyond all that was required to crush her frail body.

" I'm going to need your help, come as soon as possible."
The darkness began to give way for the light to return, revealing the surrounding buildings and the street far below. It was all tainted red, and before he had time to think, Fate knew precisely why.
"Finally awake, are we? Heheh, you were out for a while there, Nabu. I almost got worried that we wouldn't be able to play."
Standing to his feet, or at least trying to, Doctor Fate realized the problematic position he'd been placed in. Crimson chains bound him all over, preventing him from rising out of a kneeling position, hands bound behind his back. They remained suspended in the air within a red sphere of magic, apparently Klarion's doing, the witch-boy that stood before Kent now, taunting him.
"Ugh...What are you doing here, witch-boy?"
His head was pounding, a headache of some kind. What had knocked him out? All he could remember was that tornado, and Raven's voice that stirred his slumber. The tornado was gone. He was still in Central City, but he'd lost sight of Raven and the Weather Wizard.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" The boy replied as he reached for the famed Helmet of Fate, only to receive a painful magic shock. "Ack! Still overly attached to that old relic, I see. Well fine then, we can just sit here and watch while your little friend gets the beating of a lifetime..." He said with a cackle while his hand waved back. Aside from disturbing the large red-eyed tabby on his shoulder, it served to open a visual link to the park. Fate could see the white-cloaked Titan, but there with her...he didn't recognize the man. He was fast, and powerful. In a blurring motion he flew to the ground and flung a gigantic ball of ice right for Raven.
"No!"
